Non PC Disappointment

The Southeast Angle reported that our anxiously awaited bookstore (spitting* distance from our house) is going to be gay-themed.

I'm not opposed to gay businesses, neighbors, politicians, marriage, whatever. And I'm not opposed to a gay bookstore. I'm just...

Disappointed.

I was so excited to think that there would be a bookstore so close to me. I was fantasizing that since the financing for the project was from St. Anthony Bank that it might be a second location of Micawber's Books. Sigh.

Scale it down a bit, all we really wanted was a decent magazine stand, Tim wants the NY Times bestsellers, and I'd like some home and garden books. But instead, it'll probably be a whole lot of nothing we really want to read.

Or maybe there will be a batch of home and garden books after all...
